First of all to put matters straight with the sole objective of providing you with an in depth view of various artists that are being featured here on the interview section, I would like to emphasize on the fact that I have tried to incorporate fair and genuine views of all concerned. As we interviewed Naren of Aastha band on our last interview, I thought getting further views from Sudip Gurung of the same band would be relevant here. Sudip is in town for a short time vacationing and at the same time he’s utilizing his trip in giving the final touches to his new album that he worked on while he was back in the UK. Talking about his musical background, he was interested in music since his childhood and used to perform regularly right from his school days. He admits that he has no formal musical education but believes he has some musical instincts somewhere inside him. Below are some parts of my conversation with the ‘other’ Aastha.
Now listen to his marvelous solo album PRAYAS. Personally, I guess its one of the unique compositions I have heard so far in the Nepalese music arena.
